Currently we have sites 30, 31, 32, and 22. If you are going I need to know whether you are wanting a site to yourself or if you are willing to share a site. You may have 3 tents/ campers per site. This is in the non-electric campground but there is potable water and a shower house.
Schedule of events:
Friday - arrive in the afternoon (check in is at 3 though if sites are empty can come in earlier). Set up and dinner are on your own. If you come in early enough feel free to paddle the lake, play some disc golf, check out what is available from the gear swap / sale or take a hike around the area.
Friday night - after dark we will have a telescope and someone to show us some of the wonders of the skies - a 5 star night. Probably be sometime around 10 pm. I will find us an open area where we will be able to see
Saturday morning: (no early shuttles so can sleep in after a late night). We will be doing a hike on a section of the Buckeye Trail that is in the park (about 3 miles) if anyone would like to join us. If you would rather play disc golf, that is always available.
Saturday at 6pm - We will have a potluck - the theme is "Five Star Cuisine". Use your imagination.
Saturday evening: We are doing a Full Moon paddle on the lake - meet at the about 9:30 (doesn't get dark until at least 10). In advance of the paddle we will supply an assortment of glo-sticks so you may decorate your canoe (or kayak) for the occasion. Who knows, there might be prizes. We will paddle the lake and see what stars are out in spite of the full moon.
During the weekend we will have a gear swap/sale. Bring any camping, boating related items to sell or swap. If you will be bringing anything to put in the sale please let me know and I will get a list together to put out so that everyone will know what is available and who to see to make a deal. Everybody can keep their own stuff at their site and that way we don't have to have a table we have to man or keep track of whose is whose.
