OHCRA Meeting Minutes

11/14/04

OHCRA (Ohio Historical Canoe Route Association) held it’s regular planning meeting on the above date, in Columbus Ohio.

Among those present were: (I may have this wrong – going on memory)

Jock, Ted, Tony, Paul W., Paul K., George & Marilyn

The following are the items discussed, decisions reached, or plans made:

Agreed to send $25 check to Hospice of Scioto County, in the name of Paul Jordan, who recently passed away

George agreed to be newsletter editor

Reviewed membership list for deletions for receiving the Newsletter

We have ~80 dues paying members

Paul Kerlin agreed to be official Assistant Secretary

Tony Sands is the new President. Jock is President Elect

The following trips were planned:

o April 30/May 1 - Greenville Creek - Ted (Now April 23/24)

o May 21/22 - Auglaize - Paul W.

o June 18/19 - Hocking (cleanup) - Jock

o July 9/10 - Mad River - Tony/Ted

o Aug 20/21 - Little Miami - Ted

o September 17/18 - Grand River - George

o Oct 8/9 - Killbuck Creek Or Walhonding - Tony

Next meeting is planned for March 6, 2005 at 11:00 am in Columbus (same place, but there is a guard station near the street now)

The fall/winter meeting is planned for November 13^th, 2005

Another out-of-state trip was discussed. Rivers in Michigan are to be researched and discussed further. Anyone with input or interest, please let someone know
