Mad River
July 9-12, 2026

The beautiful John Bryan State Park, located between Yellow Springs and Clifton is the site of the July outing. We will paddle the Little Miami and/or the Mad River. Paddles will be anywhere from 4 to 16 miles, depending on what the group decided. We will also paddle a section of the Little Miami (details coming).

We will be at Group Site #2 (non-electric). The park has a new shower house. Saturday potluck theme is Breakfast for Dinner. Got a griddle?

John Bryan State Park is known as one of the most scenic in western Ohio. In addition to paddling, the park offers plenty of hiking, including a hike to the Little Miami Gorge, which is designated as a National Landmark. The town of Yellow Springs is worth a visit, especially if you have fond memories of your hippy days.

At our November meeting, we agreed that this outing would include a meeting to talk about whether or not we want to maintain the website which is expensive.

Please watch your email for more details about paddles and the website costs.

Hope to see you there.
